Does it matter where corporate HQ is located these days? Boeing's HQ is
located in Chicago, but it is still seen as a Seattle company. United
can move to the planet Mars, and unless they are planning to
significantly trim their ORD operations, no one is going to notice.
Also, almost all publicly-traded companies-- like Boeing and United--
are incorporated in Delaware, for business reasons.

United has hired real estate advisory firm Staubach Co. to evaluate

tions that would offer, among other things, about 150,000 square feet

office space. Other options for United include Denver or staying in

current location in Elk Grove Village, Ill., near Chicago's O'Hare
Inte=
rnational Airport.
The airline, which has not made a profit in six years, emerged from
bank=
ruptcy in February.
